By accessing and using CalicoME ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CalicoME is a Chinese language learning platform that provides AI-powered conversation practice, graded reading materials, vocabulary tools, and progress tracking. The Service is offered under two tiers: Free and Premium (subscription-based).

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

4. Subscription and Billing

Premium subscriptions are billed monthly ($9.99/month) or annually ($71.88/year) via Paddle, our payment processor. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. You may cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of your current billing period. All payments are processed in USD.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts; (c) use automated tools to scrape or abuse the Service; (d) share your account credentials with others.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service, including text, images, code, and AI-generated responses, is owned by CalicoME or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. CalicoME shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
